About Us

Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Limited (formerly known as Saharayn E-Multipurpose Society Limited) is one of the largest Multi- Purpose Society in India. The Society was incorporated in the year 2014 under the provisions of the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 and rules made there-under.

The Society is working through more than 4500+ authorized centres with more than 125 administrative offices in 17 different states. The Society has its access and operations in far-flung areas and interiors where banking services are still not available.

Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

The Society does not directly interact with the general public but rather it accepts contributions from its regular members from the schemes of the Society from time to time. Central Registrar of cooperative society appointed in Department of Agriculture and Co-operation under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India is reporting and compliance authority for the Society.

“Our mission is to create a cost effective, transparent, high return & service driven organization for all of our Members.”

As the Society is governed by the Multi- State Co-Operative Societies Act, 2002 we work on the principles of self help and mutual aim. We try to build saving habits among the members in order to help them upgrade their standards of living. The Central Registrar under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is the regulatory body for the Society. The Society works within the purview of the Act and rules made there-under and complies with all the applicable provisions under the law.

As a multi-purpose Society we are engaged in diverse areas and some of which are enumerated below:

  • To provide clean drinking water.
  • To provide mobile health unit (MHU) equipped with doctors and generic medicines for public at large especially for weaker sections on commercial viable parameters.
  • To provide fresh and pure consumer products grocery items and consumer durable items to the rural and urban areas.
  • To provide power resources electrification in villages including rural areas through alternate energy medium like solar energy and wind energy.
  • To provide advanced dairy products in villages, rural and urban areas.
  • To provide health education and sports college/training centres and create infrastructure for the same for the developments of physical health, character, sportsmanship and budding sport persons.
